Buhari speaks politics during Salah

President Mohammadu Buhari yesterday, Thursday, April 20, 2023, wished Muslim faithfuls a happy Eid-el-fitr celebration while pushing his opinion concerning the outcome of the 2023 general elections to the front burner.
The president who made a technical review of his administration on this joyous occasion even as he psychologically prepares to bow out of office on May 29, 2023, haven served two terms in office, upheld his belief, embodied within the transcript of his penned message to the country.
He insisted that this year's general elections were not flawed since the mysterious mathematical precision with which ruling parties cleared all political seats up for grabs in previous elections was not reenacted based on glaring loss by some All Progressives Congress (APC) members at the polls.
Though this outcome could be said to be a resultant effect of the emergence of a better enlightened and more educated electorate who insisted on sticking with the outcome of a due process, the president nonetheless took credit for directing the flow of the process, priding his role and level of transparency of the process, “The elections were so transparent that even members of my own party were routed and unseated. At no point did I interfere with the process in order to give unfair advantage to anyone.”
He insisted, "I’m proud that I have created a level playing field for all contestants regardless of party affiliation in order to produce a fair outcome for all.”
It should be noted that the federal government granted today, Friday, April 21 and Monday, April 23, 2023, as public holidays for the Sallah celebration in Nigeria.
