Idahosa receives "Unity torch" for sports festival

Edo State deputy governor, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa on Monday, March 24, 2025, on behalf of Governor Monday Okpebholo ceremonially received the "Unity torch" for the "Niger Delta Sports Festival" holding at Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, from April 1- 9, from the Edo State Sports Commission Chairman, Desmond Amadin Enabulele.

Enabulele who led Sabina Chikere and other members of the sports commission and athletes to Government House expressed  readiness to make Edo State proud by winning laurels based on their participation in seventeen games at the sports meet which has the theme, "Beyond oil, harnessing talents." 

Paralympic champion and Edo State "Niger Delta Sports Festival" Ambassador, Patience Ogbiti who spoke on behalf of athletes, promised to make Edo State proud. She thanked the Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC), for sponsoring this festival which aims to groom young athletes for Nigeria.
