Osezuah tells electorate to vote with their conscience

    Engr Abraham Osezuah

A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmanship hopeful for Esan North-East, Engr Abraham Osezuah has called on the electorates and the entire Esan land to vote with their conscience and with conviction in this democratic dispensation.

Osezuah who played host to the press admonished voters not to behave like they did in previous elections where they sold out their conscience for peanuts yet turning back to lament when such elected council officials turned their backs against them.

The PDP candidate who prides himself at being a humanitarian promised to meet his people at the point of their need. He confirmed that he wants to open up his community, especially the hinterlands to booster connectivity to mainstream society. He said this would be his driving force as chairman of the council

Speaking on his driving force and yearn to touch lives, he said, "It is a way of giving back to the community in which I was born and grew up. Haven read Civil Engineering at the University of Benin, i wanted to make a change when i noticed that despite development, my village was sidelined and never got connected to the national electricity grid. I had to stand in the gap by providing solar electricity to my village."

This is not the first project to be erected which has touched and altered the lives of people in the community, he reveals, even though most have been carried out discreetly away from the press and ceremonial fanfare.

The idea of speaking up at this critical period, he said, had to do with people coming forward to lay claim to the solar electricity project he put in place for the benefit of his village and surrounding communities.

He declared, "This light cuts across Ebhoijie community through Jude Ezehi Street, up to the Palace of the Onojie of Uromi."

While enumerating his plans for the people, he mentioned that when he gets voted into office, aside seeing it as the responsibility of citizens to develop their palace, he would go a step further to develop and give it a befitting facelift to tally with modern day looks and a veritable symbol of our heritage, our culture.

For surrounding communities, he promised to extend the solar electrification project to them. He clarified that it is an ongoing process, he planned to reach and cover three more clans in the immediate environs before moving to Idumoza community.
