2023 Election: Labour Party Welcomes PDP Decampees in Oredo



The leadership of the Labour Party, in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State on Sunday, February 5, 2023 welcomed and absorbed decampees of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) into its fold's.

Welcoming the decampees on behalf of the party, Edo South Senatorial Candidate, Bar. Neda Imasuen flanked by the House of Representatives Candidate, Iyawe Esosa; the House of Assembly Candidate, Edosa Richards;  Ward 1 Chairman, Comrade Atoe Efosa among other party leaders upheld that, "The decampees have made the best choice in the interest of the nation and it's citizens."

Bar. Neda Imasuen commended the decampees and other supporters for standing up for Nigerians at this critical time.

"This is not the best of times for us as Nigerians. These career politicians have mismanaged us to the extent that we have to stand up and demand for our nation back. 

"The work to take our nation back is for all of us. We must come together to rebuild Nigeria. Nobody is smiling. Hunger in the land. Frustration everywhere. But there is hope for us. 

"Obi brings hope. So also is Labour party. Lets vote for Labour Party in all the elections from the Presidency, to the Senate, House of Representatives, and House of Assembly. This will then enable us to really rescue Nigeria."

Other contestants who also addressed the decampees urged, "Edo electorates and Nigerians to join the rescue mission of Obidatti and other patriotic Nigerians to rebuild the nation.

The decampees led by Zonal Chairman, Akugbe Zone, Stephen Osawaru said, "We, like other Nigerians are tired of the maladministration of the PDP and that of the APC. We can nolonger stand this as they have mortgaged  our generation as well as those of our children."

They also promised to commence serious campaigns which will help bring in more voters before the elections.

On hand to receive the decampees were the Labour Party Edo South Senatorial Chairman and State Vice Chairman, Barr. Agbontaen; Oredo Woman Leader madam Jane Onabanjo;  the  Oredo local Government Chairman of the Labour Party Comrade  Enomayo,  and the leader of the ward who led the decampees, Hon. Oduangbon Imasuen.
