Monsignor Oleghe transits on the Solemnity of Christ the King

Catholics who filed out in their numbers today to celebrate the Solemnity of Christ the king were caught for words when they were hit with the news of the demise of the patriarch and strong Marian advocate, Rt. Rev. Monsignor Thomas Oleghe.

Breaking the sad news to the universal church, Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Auchi, Most Rev. Dr. Gabriel Ghieakhomo Dunia stated that the 104 year old Oleghe transited today at 2.30 am,  November 24, 2024.

According to the Bishop, the church will bid farewell to the firebrand oldest priest in Nigeria who dedicated his life to evangelism and teachings about the "Virgin Mary" and saying the "Rosary" with  funeral rites slated for Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
